Siddhartha Gupta
Undergraduate research assistant
Sid is a first-year undergraduate student majoring in biology at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is passionate about public health, leadership, and medicine, which are reflected in his activities and interests. Sid coaches basketball, volunteers with the Student Health Action Coalition, and is serving as an Orientation Leader in Summer 2025. Currently, Sid is assisting with research by analyzing aggregate data on consumer purchases and is excited to continue contributing to the Global Food Research Program. In the future, he plans to apply to the Gillings School of Global Public Health, attend medical school, and pursue a Master of Public Health degree.
My “go-to” comfort food are… chicken wings.
My least liked beverage is… sparkling water.
The first thing I learned to cook was… ramen noodles.
One of my favorite drink combinations are… Pepsi and Mountain Dew, I call it a Dewsi!
