Layla White

Undergraduate research assistant

Layla is a senior undergraduate student majoring in nutrition (health and society track) with a minor in data science and chemistry. She has previous experience as a lab research assistant in the Nutrition Department of Toxicology, where she assisted in a study examining the association between environmental toxins in the diet and the risk of diabetes. Her research interests include ultra-processed food marketing and labeling and its impact on food purchases. At the Global Food Research Program, she is assisting in conducting research on a systematic review project.

My “go-to” comfort food is… baked mac and cheese.

My favorite condiment/topping is… honey.

My favorite combination of food and drink is… avocado toast and coffee!
