Laina Ewoldt
Doctoral Student
Laina is a doctoral student in the Department of Nutrition at UNC-Chapel Hill. She plans to minor in Epidemiology and to focus her research on the impacts of nutrition on human and environmental health. She is a Registered Dietitian with experience in both clinical and research settings prior to starting at UNC. She holds a Master of Science in Public Health in Human Nutrition from the International Health Department at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and she completed a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics at Kansas State University.
My “go-to” comfort food is… peanut butter topped sweet potatoes.
The first thing I learned to cook was… my grandma’s homemade apple pie.
My favorite food-related smell is… freshly roasted vegetables.
