Juan Gomez

Juan joined the Global Food Research Program as a 2024 FERN Fellow between his third and fourth years studying nutrition sciences at North Carolina State University. He has a deep-rooted passion for nutrition that stems from experiences in his childhood and adult life that pushed him to change his lifestyle and help others achieve the same goal. Juan plans to pursue a master’s degree and become a registered dietitian with a specialty in pediatric, infant, and maternal nutrition.

My favorite food for winter is… chicken and wild rice soup!
