Dhara Buebel

Dhara is a sophomore at UNC intending to major in Nutrition on the Science and research track. She grew up in Chapel Hill and is currently on the UNC women’s ultimate frisbee team, Pleiades. She first became interested in nutrition when she started a local food pantry in high school. She has sustained this curiosity into college, with a specific interest in combatting food insecurity among youth. At the Global Food Research Program, she will be helping with various aspects of work related to the team’s food policy evaluations, including research dissemination.

Food I must have in my house is… dried mango. 

My favorite food for summer is… caprese salad.

My most interesting food habit is… dipping pretzels in Greek yogurt.
